In recent years, I have re-invented my professional and to some extent, my personal life. I left my position as a professor of special education and have become a therapist for children on the autism spectrum, which I do in public schools and privately as a consultant. I also bought myself a new Kenmore sewing machine and started taking classes in sewing, quilting, and painting, stenciling, and stamping on fabric. My two daughters are grown and I find myself with –GASP!!!– free time. Actually, once I start a project I find myself no longer with free time. In this blog, I will explore the boundaries of art and craft, of quilting and creating, and also following a pattern and creating patterns of my own. Am I a crafter, a quilter, a seamstress or an artist? I don’t yet know, but time will tell. This is my journey.

Thank you for visiting my blog. I can totally relate to your sense of exploration. It is through exploration that I discovered my own artistic ability. Having had this experience, I encourage everyone to take a step beyond what they think they can achieve… be fearless, take a risk and who knows, you may find yourself creating a masterpiece and hopefully many masterpieces. 🙂
I like this. It’s sometimes hard for me to sit back and explore….but it’s nice to have feedback such as yours!
