Well, the wood has been delivered and will begin to be installed on Monday, May 5.
So we’ve been decluttering, packing stuff, and storing stuff. I have decided I will begin to use my old study as my sewing room, so I will have a HUGE job to do when the floors are done. I still have a ton of ‘stuff’: files, books, notes, PowerPoint presentations, and journals there that I have to clear out. I think May is turning into the decluttering month here in Cambridge.
Here are some photos of my sewing supplies all boxed up. It makes me sad.
And the most sad thing for me was boxing up my new fabric from Africa. I know I won’t get to use it for quite a while now!
And finally I am saying goodbye to my little old sewing table. I already have a nice table in the sewing room/study that I plan on using, so tomorrow evening this is going out to the curb. I know someone will drive by and pick it up. Blessings to them!
So it will take a week to install wood flooring on the first and second floors of our home, and we have to take out all the small things that the workers can’t move…so books, threads, DVDs, CDs, knickknacks, and so forth have been packed into boxes or brought to Goodwill as a donation.
New floors! That’s exciting!
Yes it is!
